Last week, this group of students competed in Houston at the HOSA International Leadership Conference. Erica Cahoy competed in clinical lab science. Courtney Sees, McKenna Kocmich, Landon Thury, and Caleb Wallinga competed in HOSA Quiz Bowl. Awesome job representing our school and state!

On Saturday, the 8u boys played in their end of the season tournament in Tyndall. They ended their season as Runner-up in the league. Congratulations boys and coaches!

Avon High School has had 5 individuals qualify for International HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America)! They will be traveling to Houston, TX June 26-29 to compete against 12,000 other students from around the US and the World!
Those individuals who qualified include Erica Cahoy, McKenna Kocmich, Courtney Sees, Caleb Wallinga and Landon Thury. The advisor is Ms. Lexie Jurrens.
Please come and help support this group by having some great pancakes and sausage! Free Will donation! If you are unable to attend and would like to donate, please contact any one of the students parents.

Avon HS Senior McKenna Kocmich finished her high school golf career at the State “B” Girls Golf Championship on June 3-4 at the Edgebrook Golf Course in Brookings. McKenna shot a 93 on day one and an 88 on day two for two-day total of 181 and a 16th place state medalist finish! Congratulations McKenna on a great state tournament and an awesome golf career for the Avon Lady Pirates!
