Run, run, as fast as you can. The Kindergarten class loves reading books about the Gingerbread Man! They also made a special shaped cookie treat, but made sure this one didn’t get away!

Please note that with the 2-hour late start, we will still be utilizing our one-way drop-off.
Thank you!

We will be sticking to our two-hour late start. The state highway has been salted. The county roads are still a little slick so leave early and drive slow. Take gravel when possible. Currently there are no advisories or warnings for our area. Use your best judgement and if you feel necessary to stay home just let us know. You can text myself or Mrs. Fathke. The forecast is for this to quit about 11:00 and then warm up to 37 degrees. Just a reminder, the one way drop off this morning will still be in effect. Thanks for your patience and understanding, isn't winter in SD wonderful! Mr. K

The third graders have been kept busy with visits from Lesley Rygaard, the SDSU 4-H Extension Educator for Bon Homme County. She visits the classroom once a week for the “Adopt a Cow” program. In the past we have learned about breeds of cattle, the purpose of ear tags, and why colostrum is important to calves. Today, third graders learned each of the 4 stomachs of a cow has a unique function and texture, which they got to feel. They also studied how energy from the sun is transformed into energy our bodies need when we eat beef.
